Life is a Lesson

I heard a teaching one day and I learnt something that has changed my thinking for good and I’m sure you will love this too. Please read carefully till the end with an open mind and enjoy.
“Life is a lesson, therefore I urge you to be smart, pick lessons from every experience (negative or positive) and keep making progress”
This means that every day is a new journey with new experiences so you must be willing to learn no matter the conditions you find yourself. If you don’t learn from your challenges now, you will fail similar tests and never overcome similar hurdles. Most people are quick to pass around blame for negative turnout of their lives instead of making investments when they should have. Excuses simply show irresponsibility and immaturity. From today, I want you to make a conscious effort to start taking responsibility for the outcome of your life today. Your today is simply a result of your yesterday’s investment.
Be smart, pick lessons from every situation that’s you come across in your daily activities. Don’t allow negative situations knock you down or make you feel less important, worthless or inferior to other persons around. Let me share something with you that helped me.

Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence;
                         for out of it are the issues of life.” (KJV)

Recently, I was at a crossroad of my life and I made some senseless statements like “I have wasted my time and money doing something that hasn’t brought me anything”. In the midst of all the regret and sorrow which wasn’t brining me any fulfilment or joy, I had the privilege of speaking with Bishop David Abioye and he gave me this scripture. He further explained saying “It is OK for negative situations to hurt you and affect your body but you must never allow it get to your heart”. This is so true because once you allow evil in your heart, nothing positive will come out of your thoughts and mouth. Immediately I started looking for others things that I had opportunity to learn, people I met and many more fun stuff I was able to do. At this point please take note of the following;

  • Be careful from whom and where you receive counsel from
  • Have a good association that propel and motivate you towards the actualisation of your goals in life.
