Why I pray and Don’t get Results?

Praying In Faith

From our last discussion, it is clear that faith is you absolute believe and trust in God. If faith means trust then it is a necessary requirement for fulfillment of prophecy. God will only perform what you believe.
John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

How do you believe or have trust in God? Very simple! Rom 10:17 … faith comes by hearing and hearing of the word of God.
The more you know about God, the more you will find out His abilities and this will definitely convince you to trust Him to perform accordingly. The Bible has specific information that will give you details of the credentials of the one that created you and how you are created. Guess what? The Bible also has what God has planned for you and your expected end.

Hearing the word of God leads to revelation from God. Revelation simply means deep understanding from what you have read. It is the Spirit of God that opens you up to revelation and hidden secrets.
John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

When you contact revelation, the devil becomes smaller and smaller. So, the more the quality of your revelation, the smaller the devil becomes and the more power you possess over the forces of the devil.
So when you hear the word of God faith is built and the more faith you build the deeper you will have access to revelation and the quality of your revelation will make prayer easy because you will know in full the capacity of God in line with your desires.
Ephesians 3:17-19
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Someone asked me recently, do you ever get tired of praying? I answered affirmatively but I also said the only way to feel that way is when you have been asking God for a few things and it seems as if the answers will not come or God hasn’t heard you, also when something negative has happened and you are questioning the authenticity of what God has said in His word. Remember that faith talks about confidence. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (NIV)

I recently discovered that depression is subtle and it has the power to drain your faith in God if you allow it. That’s a message for another day 😀.

The main question to ask yourself before praying is Do I believe that God can do the things I want to ask for?
Prayer will be exciting when answers to prayers is sure. Faith is therefore the connecting factor between your prayers and a response from God. The importance of faith to prayer can be likened to the importance of airtime or data to your mobile phone. This is why prayer must be done with full assurance of faith. Jer 33:3. Like one of my favourite scriptures explains prayer, faith and Dominion.
1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

This means you naturally have the power to dominate every force of wickedness just because you believe in the capacity and abilities of God. We mostly disturb ourselves about little things because we don’t have adequate knowledge on how to deal with such challenges.

Finally, remember that knowledge brings faith and faith leads to confidence in the abilities of God who has the power to perform all things for you. A cry in prayer only secures sympathy from people around but a cry of faith secures the attention of God.
Ps 57:2
I will cry unto God most high;
unto God that performeth all things for me.

I urge you to build your faith which will then help you to cry in faith and secure the attention of God.

  1. Have faith in God! In his nature, his abilities, his track records (the Bible). Believe!
    Thank you for sharing.

  2. Wow! I learnt that faith is the catalyst between our prayers and the answers. I must keep building my faith in order to secure answers to my prayers. Thanks Daniel for this great piece, God bless you richly!
