Light at the end of my Tunnel

Peter Drucker has made us to understand that, we live in a an era of accelerated change, overwhelming complexity and tremendous competition. To this end, the topic of emotional intelligence is very apt. Managing and leaving through new trends of life is very necessary.
Emotional intelligence talks about learning more about your stress points and obtaining skills to manage your actions when stretched to the limits. Change of environment, leadership, difficult circumstances etc calls for emotional intelligence amongst other skills.

Leadership is great but it’s not for those who have not acquired proper information on emotional intelligence because you will be tested by your superiors, peers and most definitely your subordinates. Learning how to receive, manage and thrive in the midst of opposition or criticism is vital for all leaders.

Any leader that is able to ignore the applause of men, will never be moved by their criticism no matter how harsh or fierce it may be. I once heard someone say that he does not get upset when people make comments about him because it is just an opinion that is harshly expressed. Since then I promised myself that opinions of people will not hurt me and I even went ahead to tell some that their opinions are not valued because it’s my life.

It is a difficult and most painful thing to have people you trust or call friends pick up stones and shoot shots at you when somethings are said or done against you. I have questioned myself and even people if it’s a bad thing to be nice to people? No matter how good you are, people still don’t like you and they will complain. If you are bad, they will still complain so why bother much? I promised myself not to be angry anymore but make sure all I do is without blemish so whatever anyone says will not matter much. No matter how much people don’t like you or they speak evil to destroy your person, the end will show that it was all a waste of time and effort once better things happen for you.

Psalms 37:32-33
The wicked watcheth the righteous,
and seeketh to slay him.The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

Terrible things were said about me few months ago but God has helped me that the story is different and some of those people are either proud of me or envious of me. You are a tree, therefore give yourself favourable conditions to grow and thrive no matter the weeds, shrubs or even other tree that may surround you.

The summary of it all, if you wanna be a person of influence, you must be ready to watch your back. Live a life free of compromise that will give people the opportunity to talk anyhow to you or insult you. Your name is precious and you are amongst other things unique.

Take this scripture with you and make it your daily prayer.
2 Thessalonians 3:2
“And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.”

With love,
Daniel
