Growing up; A Scam or a Great Beauty

My lovely friend, thank you once again for stopping by my blog. I have been told that it is a way of having conversations with me so I’m happy to talk to you. If this is your first time stopping by, I’m happy to share my thoughts with you. By the way, my name is Daniel Abioye 😉.

As a way of starting our discussion for today, I’ll like to draw your attention to my previous post “Counting Days and Appreciating Moments” where I noted that “You are for sure the architect of your own destiny so don’t allow any negative situation block your front view in life. Negative situations are only permitted to be in your rearview mirror”. If you haven’t read that post, I’ll encourage you to pls take a few minutes to read it.

I’m am very excited to share new thoughts with you today on this special day as it marks my Birthday. One truth I have discovered in my few years on earth is that growing up has always been something I looked forward to. People that know me since I was much younger will tell you that part of the little things I have looked forward to was packing out of my parent’s house and being responsible for myself. Finally, by the grace of God, I did that a few weeks ago and have been over the mood since then. As you can read from what I said earlier, the beginning part of growing up is thinking. It is the foundation for actualising your aspirations.

Proverbs 23:7a

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

Thinking should normally lead to creating strategies to bring to pass your thought process but a lot of people in recent times have shifted their focus to just wishing and waiting. Recently I got thinking on about a very popular saying “growing up is a scam” and I realised that it is not true. Growing up is all about responsibility and proper planning which a lot of people are not ready to do.
After thinking, the next thing to do is pray for Gods help and then start drawing strategies to accomplish your thought process and give action to the things you have prayed about. This will help you commit yourself to a cause and prevent doubt.

Growing up is all about challenging the old ways and creating new paths. Many years ago I told myself that I want to do way beyond what my parents are doing when I get to their age. Interestingly, a few months ago, I told my dad this and he said: “that is how to grow”.

I also encourage you to use your downtime as an opportunity to draw up new strategies for an extraordinary comeback. I’ll like to remind you that a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step before it will become huge strides.
Gods plan is for you to grow in wisdom and in His statue but you must play your part in sowing seeds and the harvest will come in due season. It’s sad because, in recent times, people are quick to claim blessings but are swift to run away from the responsibilities attached. Growing up is a huge responsibility that cannot be blamed on anyone because it is personal regardless of the happenings around you.

Genesis 26:12

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

The responsibility of growing up is planting in due season. When you plant at the right time and do the necessary things to ensure healthy growth, there will for sure be no harvest. Lack of harvest will lead to being crocked. Allow me to be very blunt with you and tell you that the reason for cutting corners is because of inadequate planning for their future.

In conclusion, wishing will never allow you to work towards your goal but instead, it will only provide you with the false hope that will in most cases be dashed. So I urge you to think, pray and take necessary steps to make sure your imagination becomes reality. A note of warning at this point is that you should not lower your expectations. When you expect less, you will get less than you expected. God has more to give you than He has already given you. There are many who pray but their thoughts betray or stop the answers from coming.

The reason why growing up for me is a great experience is because I have made up my mind and I am daily putting in efforts for continuous growth. I am planting the seeds for growth with my thoughts from the knowledge of Gods word, watering it by the words that come out of my mouth and finally taking physical steps to ensure my harvest is sure in due season. God will test you before He will trust you. Luke 16:11If, therefore, ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

I pray for you today that your mind will be renewed and healing to your disappointed or broken heart. I also pray that as you put these to work, the hand of the Lord will cause you to excel and stand out. Finally, I pray that you will enjoy continuously the presence of the Lord.
Thank you my fellow Honourable.
